TEACHER APPRECIATION CONTEST RULES & CONDITIONS

This Teacher Appreciation Contest is created to celebrate and thank the incredible women who teach, mentor, coach, create, lead and serve our local community.

ELIGIBILITY

Open to women educators who…

• reside in the greater Portland, Oregon area

• are available to participate in the scheduled photo experience on October 25, 2026

• agree to have photos from the above experience posted to the social media sites of the participating businesses. Honorees will have the option to request that up to three image(s) of them be removed from the gallery before distribution. The participating businesses agree to honor those requests. Only photographs remaining in the approved gallery will be available for participating businesses to use. Reminder: this contest is intended to celebrate our honorees by giving them the care and recognition they deserve.

ENTRY PERIOD

October 5, 2026 through 11:59pm (PST) on October 12.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY

There is no purchase, payment, nor donation required to enter or be selected. Maximum participant cost = $0

HOW TO ENTER

Nominate a local woman educator by commenting on Ivy Hair’s pinned Instagram post or submitting a nomination through the form above. Only eligible nominations received during the entry period will be considered.

JUDGING

This is a judged contest, not a random drawing. Five honorees will be selected based primarily on the quality, thoughtfulness, sincerity/specificity, and community impact described in their nomination. Ivy Hair Portland and Interpres LLC will evaluate eligible nominations using the following criteria: 50% storytelling/thoughtfulness, 30% impact on students/community, and 20% overall nomination quality. Judges may consider the number of unique nominations as one factor when evaluating overall community impact.

SELECTION

The final honorees will be determined on or about October 14.

PRIZES

Five women will be selected to win an Ivy Hair Experience (either a cut/color or styling for the photoshoot), a facial at Echo Natural Beauty, a vegan-formulated hair care gift set from R+co, a mini photoshoot by Savannah Fellers from Interprës, and in-studio makeup artistry provided by Patty Wilson on the day of the photoshoot (October 25, 2026). Approximate retail value per winner: $1200
